Pork Chops, Jerked

Ingredients
- ¼ cup canola oil plus 2 TBL
- 4 8 oz pork chops thick cut
Jerk Seasoning
- 2 TBL brown sugar
- 2 ½ tsp salt
- 2 tsp allspice
- 1 tsp cayenne pepper
- 1 tsp black pepper ground
- 1 tsp onion powder
- ½ tsp cinnamon ground
- ½ tsp garlic powder
- ½ tsp cumin ground
- ½ tsp thyme dried
Instructions
- In a small bowl combine the Jerk Seasoning.
- Preheat the oven to 375 degrees. Rub 1/4 cup of oil over both sides of the pork chops and then sprinkle them with the jerk seasoning, rubbing it into the meat. Heat the chops in a oven safe, very hot skillet for 2-3 minutes on each side to get a nice crust.
- Transfer the chops and skillet to the oven and bake for 8 to 10 minutes.
