Cookies, No Bake, Grandma Fisher
These cookies were a favorite of Carl’s mom, Elsie Fisher, and she made them every year at Christmas. This recipe is easy to make and surprisingly tasty.
Servings: 24
Ingredients
- 2 cups white sugar
- ½ cup canola oil
- ½ cup milk
- 3 TBS powdered cocoa
- 3 cup regular oatmeal not instant
- ½ cup peanut butter not chunky
- 1 tsp vanilla
Instructions
- Boil together sugar, oil, milk, and cocoa on medium heat for about 2 minutes. Remove from heat and add peanut butter and vanilla. After peanut butter dissolves, sitr in oats until well coated. Nuts or raisins can be added if desired. Drop by the heaping teaspoon full onto waxed paper to cool.
Notes
Less boiling makes the cookies softer; longer causes them to be crumbly.
