Cake, Pineapple Angel Food

Carl’s favorite cake. He’s always loved angel food but the addition of the pineapple makes this one the best.

Ingredients

Cake

  • 1 box Angel food cake mix
  • 20 oz can pineapple crushed with juice

Frosting

  • 12 oz Kool Whip (thawed) thawed
  • 1 package instant Vanilla Jello pudding mix small
  • 15 oz pineapple crushed (juice drained)

Instructions

Make the Cake

  • Follow the box directions for box mix substituting juice from crushed pineapple for the liquid (be sure to measure it). Use hand mixer to blend, following box directions. Fold in the crushed pineapple. Pour into angel food cake pan and bake according to box directions.

Frost the Cake

  • Mix the thawed Cool Whip with the pudding mix. Fold in 15oz can of crushed pineapple with the juice drained. When the cake has cooled cover it completely with frosting.
